The Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District is hosting the second annual Seneca Avenue Stroll on Saturday, from noon to 5 p.m. on Seneca Avenue between Myrtle Avenue and Catalpa Avenue.
Celebrate Oktoberfest at the even with craft brews provided by Finback Brewery, Queens Brewery and Bridge and Tunnel Brewery, hosted inside Nepalese Indian Restaurant.
Food will be provided by Ridgewood Eats, Rudy’s Bakery, Nepalese Indian Restaurant and Zum Stammtisch.
In addition to food, there will be music, entertainment and the Queens Library Bookmobile.
Seneca Avenue will get a little quieter thanks to recent police action that will shutter the doors of two restaurants-turned-night-bars.
The two spots: Sabor and Rumba, located at 666 Seneca Ave., and Blue Restaurant and Bar at 681 Seneca Ave., greeted prospective customers with a cold metal gate instead of food and drink last week.
In 2014, Sabor and Rumba was served a summons for serving alcohol to an underage person.
The corner that the bars sit adjacent to, happens to be the location where a recent throat slashing took place. Police are still searching for leads in relation to the attack.
More information will be available on how long the establishments will be closed for and any related action, as it becomes available.
