The cafeteria at Grover Cleveland High School is getting an overhaul, thanks to funding passed in the recent city budget.

Councilman Bob Holden announced the upgrade last week in what he said was record-breaking funding for District 30.

The district, which spans Ridgewood, Glendale, Middle Village and Maspeth, will receive $11 million in capital funding and $2 million in expense funding.

Other budget items in the area include air conditioning improvements at multiple schools, renovation of Evergreen Park in Glendale and expansion of the Wildcat Service Corp. cleaning initiative.
